Mark Piercey

I have several years experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, working with individuals, couples and groups.

I have a particular interest in the impact of early trauma on mental health and how a wide range of issues can play out in relationship difficulties. It can often be surprising how seemingly random events can easily trigger everyday conflicts.

In the past I have done a lot work around mens violence, co-facilitating stopping violence groups and working with indvidual men. I have also worked extensively with the victims of violence.

Before becoming interested with the exploration of counselling and psychotherapy about 20 years ago, I ran a small business as a craft-woodturner. I have continued woodturnig on a limited basis and find this provides a good work balance with my psychotherapy practice.
